Oh, I'm a-lovin' me some stayin' at home! We didn't have anything scheduled this afternoon but an orthodontist appointment. There was after-school snack time, dog-walking time, homework time, appointment time, then Drew and I cleaned out his aquarium before he and Lucas went to pick up limbs from the front yard. Guess what I did while they were working in the yard....ironed clothes - WHAT!!!!
Dean came home and asked what had gotten into everybody. We were having a Little House on the Prairie moment. It's so nice not having to drive all over town for lessons and meetings. I think back to the post about getting karate & Scouts & homework done while changing clothes in the car, and that's just a pitiful way to live. The kids have actually played outside the past few days, and Lucas even held a book/toy sale in the yard, which hasn't happened in a long time. (The neighbors were probably disappointed to see that start up again.)
We topped the day off with a nice dinner that Pa cooked, but instead of gathering 'round afterwards to sing and dance to his nifty fiddle-playing, we piled on the couch to watch American Idol. Good family times. Hey Half-pint, go pour Ma a glass of wine!

That's awesome! It's nice to slow down a bit from time to time and let life happen. Enjoy it!
