Shoes...and Betzina decisions...and Jake

I ran to get a new Betzina pattern and fabric from All About Sewing, which is near Target where I had to buy some things, and look what God told me to buy. (It IS a sign from God when some cute strappy shoes match your toenail polish, right?) And now I'll have to make a summery dress out of that coral material from Chicago to go with the shoes...

So this is a slinky blue fabric I got to make the Betzina cardigan I showed you yesterday. I'll wear it to work.

And this pattern was one I hadn't seen before. I'll make view A (the 3/4's sleeves) out of a green bamboo knit I bought last year there.

And finally, my brother had to put down his 14-year-old Beagle last week, so I figured I should record some of the good times we have with Jake so I can remember them years down the road. He sleeps in Lucas's room every night, but he follows me to Drew's room to wake him up. All I do is open the door and turn on the light, and he does this, which always does the trick.

Those sandals are completely awesome. They were clearly destined for you!

I have that Betzina pattern, but haven't made it yet. I say that far too often... I can't wait to see how it works for you!

Clearly, the Lord has a good eye for color and style!

That video is really sweet...sorry to hear about your brother's beagle. That's always so hard.

Katie, the other view generated some very heated reviews - I'd love to see what you came up with if you made it!

Yes, Amy, the Lord do have good taste...most of the time. Do you have a blog, by the way? You crack me up with every comment....may be something to think about...

Aw, thanks, Sister! No, I don't, but it sure is fun chiming in on yours. You make this a very comfortable forum. I can't wait to read more of your archives; it's like eating candy...the kind made in my grandmothers' kitchens.

More, please!

Love the shoes! I'm still on the fence about what I'm making at the Betzina class. I may go for a jean muslin, you know skip all the topstitching, etc., and make it out of some plain cotton twill.

Well Robbie, I will say that I've worn the devil out of those jeans I made. And thank you again for the fabric stash you gave me - I just made a skirt with the blue waffly cotton!
