A Couple of Must-Reads

Okay, I grabbed this at LaGuardia last weekend and started it last night at 10 PM. I just finished it - a record for me, and now I need to wash my face because I started crying on page 312 and couldn't stop. Such a good book with some very good lessons, and some places are so funny I laughed out loud.

And I read this one last month because the title reminded me of how my grandfather taught us to spell Mississippi (which is of course how every Southern kid is taught, probably). I'd like to get this guy's other books to read now. He's an Alabama native with family apparently here in Mobile. This one rates up there with The Help.

Now to get out of these pajamas and get dressed for the day!

M,I, crooked letter, crooked letter, hunchback, hunchback--I'm from the south, too! Not as far as you though--I was in Missouri.
Thanks for the recommendation on the books. I'm always looking for a good read.

My library does not have Crooked Letter.....is that a new book? I did reserve the other book you recommended.

Just downloaded Crooked Letter - that's my next read after I finish the one your mom lent me.
