Joann Purchase

So here's my prep work for sewing the Alabama Chanin (AC) t-shirt. Bought my "button craft" thread (Hancock doesn't carry), a Vogue pattern on sale for those slim pants (but isn't that top cute?!), and some T-pins for better knit blocking. Now to board my flight to Asheville!

Have a wonderful trip!!

I've actually made that top. I lengthened it to make a dress instead. I interfaced the collar like the instructions said and it made it too stiff. I would not interface were I to make it again. Liked the gathered sleeve. Had not thought about the slim pants. I will have to give those a try.

Hi -- Have fun! I made the top too! Then I serged it a bit more closely than the picture! I did not interface. It took me awhile to figure out the gathered sleeve and I did lettuce serged edges (rolled hems).

Cool - this is apparently a popular pattern!

I made this top into a dress, too, without interfacing. AND I have the pattern on my table to try the slim pants.
