I had a different button in mind, but it was very heavy and too big to comfortably get through the buttonhole, so I used another one.
It's very warm and comfy, but I have one question...
Why does hers look so hip and cool (to me, anyway)...
and mine looks so bulky? I'm not getting the vibe I expected. I feel more like a granny...or a teacher wearing a chunky sweater to stay warm.
I'll have to ponder that while I'm beading...

I love this sweater! I think you did a fantastic job! Have you tried the sweater with a print shirt beneath? I think the photo sweater pops because of the contrast between the solid and the print. The way you are wearing it plays up the neutrals so it blends. My 2 cents :)
Thanks for the needle info!
Great job! I love the color on you -- I'm doing my first sweater this winter!
Warm regards, Pam
Your sweater is gorgeous!! I agree with Bianca that it would really pop paired with a print.
And a groovy belt!
Thank all you people, you're right! I wore it to dinner tonight over a button-up purple collared shirt and groovy-belted jeans, and I think it looked better. Can you believe I don't own a print blouse? Time to go shopping!
Pam, you're going to love knitting sweaters - especially if they're mostly seamless like this one.
Bianca, I got some different beads by accident (they're twisted instead of straight), and my needle won't fit - arghh! Hope you found a combination that worked.
I love this sweater. You did an awesome job and it looks great on you.
I think it looks wonderful on you! Of course, I'm a grandmother that wears chunky sweaters to stay warm, at least I have been lately, along with anything else I can get on my body at the same time! It's been freakin' cold up here! Although it is supposed to be 65 on Saturday.
I think you also have to consider that the model in the pix is probably a size 0. (The other day in Chico's I saw a size 0.5. Who knew???)
Robbie
Thanks, Ann!
Robbie, don't let that Chico sizing fool you - they only go up to size 3! I think I was a size 2 or 2.5 when I bought some pants in there. I thought I was hot stuff till I found out I was near the top of the scale. But you're right - she's a stick, and also my yarn is darker...wait, that should make me look slimmer....I'll think of something.
