Time to Vote!

Are you kidding me? Is it THAT time again? Alright, I'm torn. Let's just review the Mardi Gras dresses I've made over the past few years and decide which one I'll wear Saturday night. (Yes, Saturday night, so it's time to delurk and register a comment, people!) First up is Simplicity 4577.

So shiny....I'll never forget Dean making the "wide load backing up" beeping sound when he took a pic of the back for me when I finished it...which would explain why it was wadded up and put in a drawer for several years, so it would need steaming before wearing.

So flat-chested....this is minus any.....ahem, supporting garments.

Next up is McCall's 6283. Obviously this one allows a bra - liberally padded at that - which has one strap. My ribs feel so secure!

I didn't have the Ivanka Trump purple pumps when I wore this a couple of years ago! Is it too wild? What would my Stitch Fix or Front Door Fashion stylists say?

I just love the classic column dress look.

And last is the Alabama Chanin Beaded Mardi Gras dress from last year...which I wore last weekend to a local ball....so if it doesn't get worn in New Orleans, there will be no hard feelings.

Angling the hips away from the camera makes you look SO much skinnier!

This, of course, is the most secure dress because you can wear any bra you want with it, and you can even sit cross-legged on the bed in it, because I did it this evening with no bead-breakage.

Also, ignore any necklace styling, as no necklace will be worn under the mountainous Mardi Gras beads. And now I will go be sad over Bob Simon's passing tonight. There are quite a few things more important than what I wear to Mardi Gras. I liked his little lisp on 60 Minutes.

I don't think you can go wrong with either of the three. I think they are all pretty. The Alabama Chanin dress is so gorgeous, I would wear it a million times.

Although I love the A. Chanin dress, right now I am feeling McCall 6283 with the purple shoes.

Thank you, ladies. I also received 2 split votes via email - Katrina - tell Matt thanks for playing! Also a vote from the office for the McCall's dress because she liked the aqua better than the purple. Hopefully I'll have some pics to post Sunday evening of the winning dress. ;)

I like the Alabama Chanin dress first and McCall's second. I'm sad about Bob Simon too. Enjoyed his reports on 60 Minutes. Good piece tonight on his "music in the Congo" story.

I say pull a Kim K and wear all three switching in the bathroom as the evening progresses!
